Lego has just revealed their next Technic motorcycle set, and it’s a Ducati this time! My first reaction upon seeing a new Lego set is to look for new pieces, and in this set there’re a good several. Those front shocks are new, the disk brake pieces are new, the rear tire is a new and wider than the normal T echnic motorcycle tire, but not quite as wide as the huge motorcycle tire from the Harley Davidson set, so that’s pretty cool. The windscreen doesn’t look like any L ego piece I’ve seen before, although I suspect it may just be a vinyl piece. Lego also says this is their first motorcycle with a transmission, s o that’s interesting! This set and its new parts are going to be a big deal among Lego motorcycle builders.

The set is scheduled to release on June 1st, and it will either cost $59.99 or $69.99. This is because there was a mix up and Lego announced two different prices, and they haven’t confirmed which one is correct yet. Either price seems reasonable to me, though I’m crossing my fingers for $60...

I have the BMW bike as well, i t’s an awesome set. I love the way the front suspension works! I did remove the boxes on the rear, though, they always looked ugly to me.

They are similar in scale and style, though this new set is more detailed and technically advanced, since it’s Lego’s first motorcycle with a transmission.

It is the correct scale to work with the LEGO version of the robot from rogue one.
